The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is dedicated to raising awareness about and funding for all forms of blood related cancers. Currently, in the US, Leukemia accounts for approximately 30% of all cancers in children between the ages of 1 and 14 and is the leading cause of death by disease in children. In adults, Leukemia is 10 times more likely to be diagnosed and over 118,000 adults will be diagnosed with a blood related cancer in the US during 2008.
